My Story

Let me start by saying thank you…for taking the time to read my story.

At 30, I was a newly divorced real estate broker raising two young daughters. From the outside, everything looked great. My business was doing well. I had financial freedom and stability. And my relationship with my daughters was fantastic. But on the inside…it was a very different picture. I was struggling with depression, eating disorders, insomnia, PTSD, and suicidal thoughts. My childhood trauma was buried deep within me, destroying my sense of self. After 20 years of running away from the ugly truth, the walls came crashing down. I hit my breaking point.

The crazy part is…my breaking point became my turning point, and the beginning of an incredible journey. I was introduced to someone I hadn’t known for so long…me!

My mental health became a priority. I studied nutrition, leadership, personal development, and so much more. I started taking kickboxing and Krav Maga (self-defense) classes to improve my physical health and self-esteem. After 4 years of intense training, I tested and achieved my black belt and went on to become the head instructor of the school for the next 6 years. I was building my confidence and reclaiming my life.

I applied all the knowledge and tools I had learned from great books, seminars, mentors like Tony Robbins and John Maxwell, and experts in mindset, leadership, nutrition, PTSD, and the healing process. I worked hard to become the person I needed when I was a little girl. In 2013, EMPOWERED was born.

Today, I’m married to my best friend, who has taught me so much about resilience and overcoming obstacles. After serving 14 years in the Marine Corps and being severely injured by an IED explosion, he still fights every day to find gratitude and the strength to push through the tough days. I now work with veterans to provide tools and training to push past limitations and create a healthy lifestyle. I’m grateful to share what I’ve learned, to motivate others to thrive beyond trauma, create a healthy body and mind, and step into an empowered life, in every way.

I wouldn’t trade a day of my life for all the money in the world. Every hardship was met with an opportunity to forge myself into the person I am today. And that, my friends…was worth every tear.
